Maot Chitim partners with Chabad F.R.E.E. to provide more than 200 Shabbat meals each week to Jewish community members in the West Rogers Park area.

Space is limited, so volunteers are encouraged to pre-register online.
If your group of 10-12 people is interested in a “Private Mitzvah Event,” please call our office 847-674-3224. We are honored to partner with Bubby Fira Food Bank to make it possible to provide meals for over 200 households each Shabbat.
Each week on Wednesday, Maot Chitim provides volunteers to perform the Mitzvah of packing fresh Kosher Shabbat meals for those who need a little extra TLC. Maot Chitim also provides funds to help pay for the cost of providing these Kosher Shabbat meals.

By volunteering on Thursday afternoons, you’ll provide nourishing meals and share the warmth of Shabbat in the North and Northwest suburbs. This meaningful act of kindness not only brightens their day but also fosters community and connection. Engage with Survivors, hear their stories, and remind them they are not alone. Become a beacon of light and spread joy in the true spirit of Shabbat!
