Holiday Celebrations
Maot Chitim provides volunteers and funding for holiday celebrations for Jewish residents of Misericordia in Chicago and their families.
Misericordia offers a community of care that maximizes potential for persons with mild to profound developmental disabilities, many of whom are also physically challenged.
By serving society’s most vulnerable citizens, Misericordia also serves the families who want the best for them, yet cannot provide it at home.
Each year, Maot Chitim hosts a model Seder and Hanukkah party for Jewish residents at Misericordia and their families, held at Misericordia.

A new event is around the corner. The past few years have been very difficult for everyone. We need your help to bring food to those families and individuals that are struggling with food insecurity during the holidays. There is nothing more rewarding than helping others. We invite you and your family to deliver food to Holocaust survivors, senior citizens, and families who wish to celebrate the holidays with dignity.
