Whether you donate, pack, and or deliver food, you are making a difference in our community.

We pack and deliver approximately 4,800 individual boxes along with bulk shipments to over 32 organizations. In total, we feed close to 16,000 people each Passover and Rosh Hashanah holiday.

PASSOVER

More than 1000 volunteers from the community come each holiday to pack perishable items & deliver food.

ROSH HASHANAH

Each holiday we feed over 16,000 people. It takes a community to help a community.

BUBBY FIRA FOOD BANK

Every Wednesday, we volunteer to pack Shabbat meals that are delivered on Thursday and Friday.

MISERICORDIA

We host a Hanukkah Party and Seder for the Jewish families at Misericorda.

HOLOCAUST COMMUNITY SERVICES

With partner CJE, we provide programs for 2,000 Holocaust survivors in the Chicago area.

Announcing Shabbat delivery
in the Suburbs

Every Thursday

Join us in delivering Shabbat dinners to Survivors and those in need! By volunteering on Thursday afternoons, you’ll provide nourishing meals and share the warmth of Shabbat in the North and Northwest suburbs.

Impact

We deliver approximately 5,000 individual boxes along with bulk shipments to over 30 organizations. In total, we feed close to 16,000 people per holiday.

Halfway houses and Jewish inmates
Students at local universities
Individuals with disabilities

PACK BOXES

We need volunteers to pack non-perishable items two weeks prior to delivery. We also need volunteers to pack perishable items on delivery day. Volunteers must be at least 12 years old to be in the warehouse.

DELIVERY DAY

On the day the boxes are delivered, we need volunteers to pack the boxes with perishable items as early as 6:00 AM. We also need volunteers to help load cars and trucks to deliver the food.

DELIVER PACKAGES FOR THE HOLIDAY

The whole family is invited to deliver boxes on deliver day. It’s the beginning of a family tradition that extends for generations.

A new event is around the corner. The past few years have been very difficult for everyone.
